Incredible Photos and Video of UFO that Closed Chinese Airport
Incredible Photos and Video of UFO that Closed Chinese Airport Posted  Wed 21 Jul, 2010 01:04 by FoZzY
News
“On July 7, something unusual happened near the Xiaoshan Airport in Hangzhou, China. An oddly shaped bright light appeared, forcing the airport to close down and delay 18 flights,” reports Mike Krumboltz. “Authorities are continuing to look into the incident, but no public conclusions have yet been made.”

An unidentified flying object (UFO) disrupted air traffic over Zhejiang’s provincial capital Hangzhou late on Wednesday, the municipal government said on Thursday.

Xiaoshan Airport was closed after the UFO was detected at around 9 pm, and some flights were rerouted to airports in the cities of Ningbo and Wuxi , said an airport spokesman, who declined to be named.

The airport had resumed operations, and more details will be released after an investigation, he said. A source with knowledge of the matter, however, told China Daily on Thursday that authorities had learned what the UFO was after an investigation, but were not going to disclose it until Friday. What? That makes no sense… Sounds like another Government cover-up.

White Noise Theory for Paranormal Investigations
White Noise Theory for Paranormal Investigations Posted  Mon 19 Jul, 2010 06:48 by FoZzY

The subject of white noise in the investigation of EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) deserves a discussion. The topic is the object of much debate among paranormal investigators and a lot of misunderstanding among the general public.

Much of the latter is due to the movie “White Noise”. This movie combined the subject of EVPs with ITCs (Instrumental TransCommunication – basically video EVP with images instead of voices). Mix in the usual Hollywood twists and the result is pretty good movie though not technically accurate explanation of the EVP phenomena.

White noise is the random non-descript static sound produced by various electronic devices. The sound covers and combines all wavelengths and frequencies. In this way it is like the color white which is really a combination of all colors. Hence the name white noise – the combination of all sounds. Examples of common white noise sources are the radio or television static when set to an empty channel, the hum of an electric fan motor and the babbling sound of a fast movie stream or brook.

There are two theories on the use of white noise for EVP ghost investigations:

Theory 1

Using white noise during EVP investigations relies on the random sound reorganization theory of EVP formation. That theory holds that entities take sounds in the ambient environment and somehow reorganize them into coherent words for us to hear. By providing a white noise source (or at least investigating near a white noise source) you are providing a base of raw sound ("raw material") for the entity to use to form communication. However, a significant drawback to use this technique the white noise can be hard to filter out later when you analyze your recordings and can thus contaminate an otherwise good EVP recording.

White noise can be made from many sources. As previously mentioned, a radio set to an empty channel, an electric fan or similar motor, the babbling of a stream or a running faucet are all good sources of white noise. Additionally, there are white noise generators available (often sold as sleep aids) and software that will generate a white noise signal from a PC.

Theory 2

This theory is that white noise can be used to filter out background noise or enhance EVPs when listening to recordings. To use white noise in this manner place the EVP recorder player (or speaker) on one side of you and the white noise source on the other sides. Stand (or sit) in the middle and turn both on. As you listen to the recording the white noise source will either filter out background noise on the recording and/or enhance any EVPs captured.

There is some evidence this may work. Noise canceling headphones is based on a similar principle. These types of headphones play low levels of white noise through the speakers to filter out surrounding noise and enhance the quality of the audio. Some EVP researchers and paranormal investigators use noise canceling headphones and find them very helpful.

Conculsion

The effectiveness of white noise for EVP recording is debatable. Some paranormal researchers insist it acts like an attractor, immediately drawing in any entities in the area like moths to a flame. Other researchers claim no significant increase in EVPs or other paranormal activity while using white noise and feel it’s more a distraction than a help (the white noise has to be filtered out later while trying to find possible EVPs). Further research is continuing.

Why Orbs in Photos Should Not be Used to Confirm the Presence of a Spirit or Ghost
Why Orbs in Photos Should Not be Used to Confirm the Presence of a Spirit or Ghost Posted  Sat 17 Jul, 2010 19:33 by FoZzY

When I first became aware that we had a ghost in our home back in January of 2006, one of the first things I did was research them. While browsing the internet I found many web sites with photos of orbs that were labeled as ghosts and or spirits. I then asked my wife Heidi to grab a camera and asked her to photograph the area of the room that I was pointing to as I “saw” our ghost at that location. When we looked at the photo I was happy and shocked to see a very clear orb right where I had pointed at. For the next several months I would take pictures of our ghost and her orb kept popping in the photos.

At one point we had the ghosts of two children in our home and we photographed the two orbs together. After continuing to research orbs I found that there was a backlash going around the net and that many of the “experts” in the field of paranormal research were discrediting orbs as proof of a spirit or ghost being caught on film. They talked about lens flare … dust particles and insects and how even raindrops or dirt particles would reflect the flash back to the camera and create a orb like effect due to the shape of the lens. So I decided to test the theory that you could “make” orbs appear in your photos. I took a handful of dust and threw it off the balcony at nighttime while taking pictures with a digital camera with the flash on. In my before photo I captured about 5 random small orbs, after tossing the dirt/dust and photographing the same area I caught hundreds if not thousands of orbs in my photo. That was the end of my orb fascination.

But … what about the ones that I captured where I was pointing right at them? And, what about the photo of two orbs side by side that I had as well as the ones of the ghosts at the clocktower and the ghost in our backyard. The more I thought about it the more I had to look into it. When I see orbs with the “naked” eye, they are real enough … my wife and sister have seen them as well. Then it dawned on me … some of the orbs that are photographed are dust etc., while occasionally the orbs captured on film are genuine ghosts and spirits.

It’s all about physics. Think about this, what is the natural form that is taken on by falling water … an orb, what is the natural shape taken by a bubble … an orb. A ball of energy will take on a form that is most natural and efficient within the physical world and for a “shapeless” mass that would be a sphere, just like the planets in the solar system and the stars in the universe.

So … while orb pictures can be genuine, I believe that the vast majority of them are nothing to get excited about. I believe that orbs can be used as additional “evidence” of a presence, but not as proof of the presence of a spirit or ghost. I no longer look for orbs and frankly have no interest in viewing peoples photos with orbs in them and then trying to figure out who is in the photo.

CHINA UFO SIGHTING CAUSES SPECULATION
CHINA UFO SIGHTING CAUSES SPECULATION Posted  Sat 17 Jul, 2010 19:20 by FoZzY

CHINA – A mysterious light in the skies of China has caused quite the buzz!

On July 7, Xiaoshan Airport closed down and delayed 18 flights. The reason being that an oddly shaped bright light appeared in the sky and caused confusion and panic. The fear levels have gone down, but people are still wondering what that light was.

The unidentified flying object (UFO), as its being called now, captured the attention of the Chinese media and sparked a firestorm of speculation on the UFO’s identity. An ABC News article on the mysterious sighting, explains the event in greater detail.

“It is a hidden U.S. bomber flying toward China,” one Internet user wrote on Monday. Another wrote on Saturday night, “In my opinion, the UFO is neither a U.S. missile nor a Russian satellite. Suggestions that it is extraterrestrial are even more preposterous. Everyone, use your head. This is clearly a man-made phenomenon. Would the U.S. or Russia risk provoking China’s anger by firing a missile or satellite rocket in Chinese skies, without warning? I believe the Chinese military is responsible for the UFO. It is a new missile or aircraft being tested out.”

The speculation is high, but UFO doesn’t necessarily mean little, green men. The ABC article explains that a day following the sighting, “an anonymous source told China Daily that authorities already discovered the identity of the UFO after an investigation but could not publicly disclose the information because ‘there was a military connection.’”

Authorities are continuing to look into the incident, but until the public receives some concrete answers, their minds will continue to wander. Many things fail to peak the interest of a society as much as a good UFO sighting or story. The Web has soared with searches for “china ufo.” Something strange happened, for sure, and we’ll all be on the edge of our seat until we find out what it was.

Ouija board causes park haunting
Ouija board causes park haunting Posted  Wed 07 Jul, 2010 05:23 by FoZzY

The workers at Thorpe Parke carried out a Ouija board session on the horror themed rollercoaster SAW - The Ride after the opening night of their creepy Halloween themed "Fright Nights". The group chose the park's newest ride, which boasts gruesome features mimicking the sinister torture scenarios from the grisly film SAW, as the scariest place in the park to hold it. But bosses didn't see the funny side when they heard staff had tried to communicate with the spirit world through a talking board which has been blamed for subsequent paranormal going-ons. A Thorpe Park insider said: "Guests started to report an extreme drop in temperature when they walked into the ride building where the seance was held and others unusual happenings. "Lights started to go on and off with no explanation and the special effects would start up even after being switched off and there were reports of footsteps with nobody there. "Doors could be heard banging and it was then news of the Ouija board session came out and the members of staff responsible have been spoken to and suspended from work."
